After Camelback, I went to Phoenix College for 2 years. I served as sports editor and editor of the PC newspaper along with being manager for the men's track & field team. I was also in Kappa Delta Nu sorority. Then, I went to ASU and graduated with degrees in education. I taught in Scottsdale ISD and started the women's track & field team at ASU until 1981 when I moved to Southern California. During this time, I had the good fortune of doing a variety of jobs and coaching some elite athletes on Wilt Chamberlain's track & field team. The University of Texas called and I made the move to Austin to be a full-time assistant for the women's track & field team. I was drawn back to education and served as a teacher and administrator in the middle school system of Austin ISD until 2013 retirement. Now, I'm still in Austin coaching various athletes and still working with USA Track & Field programs.

School Story

I remember taking English AP as a senior and being able to get a pass out of class if you were caught up. I'd get the pass and go work on the yearbook! I also had a great time being the "manager" for the cheer, pom & flag lines including a trip to San Diego.

Howard was always friendly and said hi. I remember him carrying a load of books (we didn't use backpacks!). He always seemed in a hurry to get to class.

Keith was one of my best friends throughout elementary school. We lived in the same neighborhood and had most classes together at Madison # 2. He was quiet and an excellent student. Moving ahead to our days at Camelback, I never would have passed Ms. Justice's chemistry without Keith as my lab partner!!! I totally know that!! We lost touch after high school and I was so hoping I'd see him at the reunion. Now, I just have the fond memories! RIP Keith and thanks for everything!!

Glenda lived 5 houses from me during elementary & high school. She was full of life & a character! Life was never dull when Glenda was around. I was hoping to catch up with her at the reunion. Sadly, I just have the memories.
