My dear brother-in-law. Such a  super nice guy. Died in 1983 at 32 years old.  Way too young.   So energetic and full of life.  Didn't ever know him in school, never had any classes with him, only met him when i married his big brother in 1970.  Had many family functions together and got to know him well. So missed.

I remember Barry very well. Grew up in the same neighborhood. Went to Madison School with him as well as Camelback High. Was in the Boy Scouts with him and remember him being at Camp Germino Boy Scout summer camp. Always doing something to put a smile on your face or a laugh in your breath. He's still thought of and missed to this day.

So sorry about Barry.  Had one class (economics?) with him.  What happened that we lost him so young?

Barry was in my classes since 1st grade, but most memorably he explained to Miss Porter’s 2d grade, in remarkably descriptive detail, his first encounter with a Bob’s Big Boy, a sandwich with 2 meat patties and 3 buns (imagine that!)  He inspired a lifetime relationship with the restaurant and many smile-inducing memories of his boisterous boyhood and kindnesses to my nerd self as we often awaited the school bus on 22nd Street. May he Rest In Peace.
