Linda Kushibab Kirby

Happy I’m vertical and above ground. I was fortunate to be a public high school teacher, worked in public health and eventually found my best job with the Phoenix Fire Department. In 1974 I married John Kirby who graduated in 1967 from Coronado High School in Scottsdale. We've been fortunate in that we've extensive travel both domestic and abroad. We have two sons who have given us four grand children - 3 girls and 1 boy. Both live locally.

I was lucky in that I enjoyed high school. Not everyone did, but my dad had prepared me and strongly encouraged me to get involved with as much as I could during those four years. As always, it's the people who gave me my greatest memories and I'm thankful I had parents who supported my activities and some pretty ridiculous impulses that define the teenage years. My favorite teacher was Leon Jordan who became my mentor. Ann Justus, Anita Knowlton and Mark Huff were among my faves as well. And who could forget Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Eastin who became second mothers to many of us!
The reunion committee has been stellar to work with! Couldn't ask for a better bunch....and I thank them for their patience with me! Love to all Spartans!
