Bill and I met at football practice in 66.  We became friends, and remained close for nearly forty years, until he left us all too early.  We helped each other out when we could, and each became the brother neither of us were given.  Some said we could finish each other's sentences, but that is not verifiable by any impartial witnesses. Never argued, because we agreed on most everything.   Rode over a lot of Arizona on motorcycles, albeit at speeds not tailored to sightseeing.  We tried to help the folks at Pinnacle Peak, by consuming their most generous portions, then stopping by The Sugar Bowl for a light dessert.  Closed a few bars, too. Spent a few Sundays on treasure hunts for the car used to close the bar earlier that morning. Life brought work and families, but we stayed in touch and visited when we could. We had made plans to take a grand motorcycle trip or two in retirement, but fate intervened.  Best friend a guy could have. I miss you brother.
