Howard was always friendly and said hi. I remember him carrying a load of books (we didn't use backpacks!). He always seemed in a hurry to get to class.
I am so sad to hear that Howard (Howie to me and his other friends) has passed. I always loved him for the friend that he was. He was a trumpet player and I hope he continued that through his life, he seemed to love it back in the day. Howie and I spent a lot of summer days together by the pool talking about life, music, and of course ... girls (we were teenage boys, what did you expect). I have missed talking to him since I never saw him (or many others) after leaving for the service in '69. I hope that all of his family and friends were as blessed by his presence and kindness as I was all those many years ago. RIP Howie, I still luv ya brother!!
